Declare Pakistan a state-sponsor of terrorism
The U.S. special forces successfully killed 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden on May 1 in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Laden was the leader of Al Qaeda and responsible for terrorist activites across the U.S. and South Asia in particular. The 9/11 attack in New York killed over 3000 people led to a decade long war in Afghanistan and Iraq that has left thousands more dead.
Pakistan was an U.S. ally in this war against terror and received billions of dollars in aid over the years to flush out terrorists and help find Osama Bin Laden. But, after 10 years Pakistan was unsuccessful and calimed that Laden was hiding in Afghanistan.
