State Chapters: Indiana
Sanjay Puri, Chairman of USINPAC congratulated the creation of the Indiana Chapter and said, “We are very excited about the creation of the Indiana chapter, and we will make sure it has the full support of our national organization. We are convinced that the leadership of Vinnie Rao and support from Manish Antani will cause this group to have rapid and longstanding success.”
USINPAC’s Indiana Chairman Vinnie Rao said, “We have a strong community in Indiana and our goal is to have Indian-Americans from across the state and of diverse backgrounds, occupations and ages involved. This chapter was not created to support a specific party or support particular politicians. Rather, this chapter was created to support the interests of the Indian-American community.”
Vinnie Rao is a successful Indian American businessman and community activist from Indianapolis, IN. Vinnie Rao is the Vice President of Briyo Inc. He is also on the Community Outreach and Engagement Committee at Indiana Health Study.
Raju Chinthala is a well known businessman and community leader with 16 years of experience as a speech language pathologist and Manager in Indiana. He works as Cheif Executive Officer at Cautela Institute of Informatics and Technology (CIIT), the firm specializes in mobile apps (iPhone & iPad Apps) and digital security. Additionally, the production company he co-founded, Manoranjan, brings well-attended Bollywood films from India to Indiana.
He’s active in the community, serving as president of the Asian Services of Indiana board, vice-chairman of the India Association of Indianapolis board, vice president of the World Trade Club of Indiana board, and a trustee on the American Telugu Association board. As a board member with the Lafayette Square Area Coalition, he organizes the World of Difference an International Parade and Taste the Difference celebration of food and culture.
Chinthala also serves as a city leader as a member on of the City of Indianapolis Department of Public Safety advisory board, the Marion County Convention and Recreational Authority, Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee and Indianapolis Sister City Committee.
Mr. Chinthala earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan and Master’s degree in Speech and Hearing from All India Institute of Speech & Hearing, India.
Born in India, Chinthala moved to the U.S. in 1994 — coming to Indianapolis from Flint, Michigan in 1996 with his wife Dr. Prasanna Chinthala and son Anoop Chinthala. His hobbies include photography, reading and networking.
