Indian-Americans: Education Levels
The Indian-American community is one of the most highly educated groups in the United States.
- Almost 67% of all Indian-Americans have a Bachelor’s or higher degree (compared to the national average of 28%; and 44% average for all Asian American groups)
- About 40% of all Indian-Americans have a Master’s, PhD or other professional degree.
- 88% of U.S. born Indian-Americans between 18 – 24 years of age have at least a High School Diploma.
- 65% of U.S. born Indian-Americans have received a college education.
